Last night we made meatball soap.
I did mean to say that. Last night we created a soap that was designed by librarians; a soap that celebrates reading in a unique sort of way. Last night we made A Cup of Tea and A Really Good Book Soap: The Librarian Edition, 2011 at the Whitefish Bay Public Library in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.
You can read your way through this soap. Really. Each librarian was asked to name his or her favorite summer read and to name one item representing the book that could be added to the soap pot. So this soap contains - among other things - lilacs and sand, lilies and rum, honey and ginger and sea salt and mud, and meatballs. What else could you add when the book is Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs? And while you probably won't use this soap on your face, it is perfect for scrubbing grubby garden hands. (Before you make a face about it, the meatballs in question are vegetarian and only the dry ingredients of the meatballs actually made it into the soap. Ha!)
Lemon, eucalyptus, and ginger create a bright and fragrant scent and make you want to pick up this soap and inhale deeply of sunshine and fun.

I'd actually love to review these boxes on my shopping/lifestyle blog. i wonder if they'd send me a sample box to talk about?
